Rome-ance with Risotto
Tucked away in a charming little corner of Ponte, there’s a cute, rustic wine bar-style restaurant that’s become one of my favorite discoveries. With its cozy atmosphere and rustic decor, Risotteria Melotti is the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing, sip on a glass of wine (or Aperol spritz!), and dive into some seriously delicious food.
The best part? The entire restaurant is 100% gluten-free! Since risotto is naturally made with rice, it’s a safe bet for those of us who need to avoid gluten, but this place takes it to the next level with some truly incredible flavours. I couldn’t resist trying their Risotto with Amarone wine: a rich and hearty red wine risotto. The creamy texture paired with the earthy, robust flavors of the wine created the perfect balance—a dish that was indulgent yet comforting. It was a dish I could really sink into, savoring every bite, knowing I didn’t have to worry about any hidden gluten.
While I only had the risotto, this cozy little spot offers so much more! Their menu features a variety of gluten-free delights, including crispy arancini and decadent desserts—all 100% gluten-free, so you can indulge without worry.
If you’re ever in the area and craving gluten-free Italian cuisine, this quaint little restaurant is a must-visit. The welcoming vibe, paired with such a thoughtful and delicious menu, makes it an unforgettable dining experience. So, next time you're in Rome, be sure to stop by Risotteria Melotti for some risotto that not only satisfies your taste buds but also your gluten-free needs. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did!
